Our achievements
Major achievements of recent years (3 years):
Consumer Rights Protection Committees have been formed in 06 (six) upazilas of Kushtia district under Section 10 of the Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009 with the aim of expanding anti-consumer rights and anti-consumer rights activities at grassroots level. Union committees have been formed in 65 unions. In order to increase public awareness, 24,984 leaflets, pamphlets and calendars on consumer rights have been distributed in all districts, upazilas and unions. Under the Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009, the mobile team in Kushtia district has conducted market surveillance activities in 756 establishments in a total of 401 operations till 22 June 2021 and a total of 85,93,950 / - (sixty five lakh ninety three thousand nine hundred and fifty rupees only). He has been recovered. 1,16,250 / - (one lakh seventeen thousand two hundred and fifty) has been paid to a total of 23 persons as 25% of the fine collected under Section 8 (4) of the Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009. A total of 18 seminars have been organized in Kushtia district and upazila for the promotion of Consumer Rights Protection Act 2009. In addition, the service has been provided to the consumers more intensively through the observance of special service week. World Consumer Rights Day has been celebrated in Kushtia district and upazila.
